V Symposium – December 3rd and 4th 2005
Almost 400 attendants warranted the success of the 5th edition of this Symposium. The scientific quality was assured by presence of some of the most important national and international cardiologists. Dr. Protasio Lemos da Luz (INCOR) and Dr Leopoldo Piegas (Dante Pazanese) allowed not to lose the clinical perspective in this interventional cardiology symposium. Live cases performed during the event allowed renamed interventional cardiologists as Dr Eberhard Grube (Germany) and Eulogio Garcia (Spain) to share his highly technical qualification in the resolution of the most complex cases. The scientific content of this event was assured by the presence of important cardiologists as Adnan Kastrati (Germany), Ron Waksman(USA), Eduardo Sousa (Brazil), Alexandre Abizaid (Brazil). They shared the most updated data related to very controversial topics in the interventional cardiology field such as the comparison among different DES, the best approach to the diabetic patient and very complex lesions subsets. The improvement in the treatment of ACS patients was also discussed including the utilization of Cellular Therapy with Stem Cell implantation during AMI
